Beatnik is a band and DJ collective consisting of writers, producers and artist siblings DJ NIKKI & STATIS. Nikki and Statis are both internationally renowned DJ's. The pair have spun all over the world in China, New Zealand, Scandinavia, the US, Middle East and Europe for events and parties for artists and brands including Jay Z, NERD, Mariah Carey, H&M, Puma, Tiger Beer, Kelis, Fashion Rocks, Elle Style Awards, Veuve Clicquot. They have now focused on their own groundbreaking sound, writing, producing, remixing and laying down their own tracks. The combined styles of the duo fuse to make what has been described as a British 'Urban' White Stripes. Their music fuses Hip-hop, electro and breakbeat drum tracks with rock riffs and electro sounds. Add their vocals of punk influenced raps and soulful hooks and you have a uniquely British sound.
